China Securities Regulatory Commission recently revised and released the Provisions on the Procedures for the Making of Securities and Futures Rules, to be effective from April 13, 2020.
The new regulation has 41 articles, with 28 articles being amended and five being added. Among the prominent revisions, the regulation stressed the importance of strengthening Party leadership in the legislation work, annual legislation plans should be made public, the drafting department should collect opinions from members of the public, legislation procedures should be optimized, and fair competition should become an important part of regulatory examinations.
