Entry Restrictions in 128 Countries Effecting International Business Communication
Subject to the coronavirus epidemic, checkpoints are set up across communications of China to contain the spread of coronavirus. The domestic roads have been shut down, but, how about the international roads?
Entry screening evolving to travel bans, some countries are upgrading entry restrictions as worldwide efforts to contain the coronavirus accelerate. According to National Immigration Administration, until Feb. 10, 128 countries have taken entry restrictions policies. Here are places with known major constraints on travelers from epidemic area.
USA

The entry into the United States, as immigrants or nonimmigrants, of all aliens who were physically present within the People’s Republic of China, during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the United States is hereby suspended and limited from 5 p.m. EST, February 2. And according to US Embassy & Consulates in China, as of February 10, 2020, regular visa services at the U.S Embassy in Beijing and the U.S. Consulates General in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenyang are suspended.
CANADA

Travelers who have flu-like symptoms or been to Hubei Province should report to the Border service officer. Customs officer will take a further measure to the symptoms including taking to the hospital if necessary.
AUSTRALIA

Since Feb. 1, 2020, foreign nationals who have been to China, live there or have traveled through China are currently not allowed to enter Australia within 14 days. Australian citizens, permanent residents and their families are still able to enter but must isolate themselves for 14 days if they’ve recently been to mainland China.
RUSSIA

Russia has suspended work and travel visa to Chinese citizens, and no-visa travel policy to Chinese citizens are also suspended. The Sino-Russia frontier port are closed temporarily. Chinese citizens are barred to enter into Russia via Mongolia. Flights only from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou are allowed at Moscow airport. All Chinese citizens from any third county arriving Russia via Vladivostok must isolated for quarantine for 14 days at the temporary residence established by Russia.
SOUTH KOREA

From Feb. 4, South Korea barred the entry of foreigners who hold a Hubei passport, or have visited or stayed in Hubei in the previous 14 days. South Korean suspended its no-visa favor for Chinese tourists to Jeju Island. From Feb. 5, border no-visa favor for Chinese tourists were also suspended.
JAPAN

Foreigners who have visited Hubei province within the past 14 days, hold a Hubei Passort will be denied entry into Japan since Feb. 1.
SINGAPORE

From Feb. 2, Chinese citizens and people who had traveled to mainland China in the previous 14 days are denied entry into Singapore. Singapore permanent residents and LTVP holders are still able to enter but must apply for 14 days’ isolation. Visas of China citizens to visit Singapore have been suspended, including those already issued.
NEW ZEALAND

Foreign nationals who have been to China since Feb. 3, 2020, live there or have traveled through China within 14 days are currently not allowed to enter New Zealand.
GERMANY

Travelers form affected countries will accept temperature check at Frankfurt Airport.
FRANCE

Travelers with fever will be immediately isolated at the airports.
BRITAIN

Britain will enforce entry screening for flights directly from Wuhan, and take a real-time evaluation to the responding measures.
Many countries have imposed entry restrictions on travelers from China as the epidemic goes severe. If travelers are in urgent need of exit from China mainland, it is advised to make travel arrangements after consulting with relevant diplomatic representative agencies, airlines.
