To better serve Japanese enterprises, respond to Japanese enterprises’ needs “Chinese localization”, help Japanese enterprises improve competitiveness in China market and avoid legal risks in operation, Sunhold Law Firm (Sunhold) held a thematic conference based on the observation on Japan related industries and clients’ needs. On October 22, 2021, the first session of Japan-China Cross-industry conference was successfully held in Sunhold Grand Gateway 66 Office.
In the conference, we specially invited Mrs. Xi Wang, overseas platform expert of Japan External Trade Organization Shanghai Representative Office and Chengdu Representative Office and founder of Shanghai Jingwen Business Service Co.,Ltd and Consultant Qiang Li from Sunhold to discuss hot topics “How to Deal with Dramatic Changes in Times —— A comparison between Enterprise Leadership in China and the World” as well as “New Legal Trends on Service Relations”. Guests in the conference were from fields include consultation, trade, finance, human resource and education and were mainly managers from Japanese enterprises in China and representatives from Shanghai chambers of commerce in Japan. Several representatives from Chinese enterprises conducting Japan business attended the conference.
Host Mrs. Xi Wang has a sixteen-year overseas education experience in Japan and had working experience in two of World’s top 500 enterprises Ricol Co., ltd and ACCESS Corporate Group. She is the only Chinese female qualified to “Japan professional consultant —— Small and Medium Sized Enterprise Consultancy of Japan”. In the conference, Mrs Wang introduced the characteristics, focus, pressure and deficiency of Chinese enterprise leaders combining her consulting experience in Japan enterprises’ investment in China from business perspective combining authoritative global leadership investigation reports, deepening the understanding of Japanese enterprise managers of their working partner and providing breakthrough point as well as force application point in quickly realizing “China localization” and developing Chinese business market.
Host Consultant Qiang Li who sequently graduated from Kumamoto University and Kyushu University has a solid legal theory base for China and Japan. Setting labour relation in enterprise operation as breakthrough point, in the conference, Consultant Qiang Li introduced compliant usage of bottom-out system from the perspective of jurisprudence and cases combining the common needs of Japanese clients from legal services. Since initiative of workers is closely linked to the efficiency of enterprise operation and since personnel management has long been a difficulty for enterprises, Consultant Qiang Li offered a practical legal guidance on enterprise management pain point.
After the end of the conference, Chinese enterprise representatives and Japanese enterprise representatives present had a deep communication on their business domain, laying the foundation for further benign cooperation. Consultant Qiang Li, as well as other several Japan related lawyers, answered legal questions about problems Japanese enterprises meet in China and problems Chinese enterprises meet in Japan investment.
